Top 10 Castore Football Kits of the 2024/25 Season
Since gate-crashing the sports kit industry in the 2020/21 with Rangers. British brand Castore have steadily built their standing in the professional football community and now supply kits to over 20 clubs and national teams and can be seen in leagues such as the Premier League, La Liga and the Bundesliga. Here, we’ll rank which kits are in our opinion the Top 10 Castore Kits of the current 2024/25 season.
10. Glentoran Home Kit
Kicking off the list in tenth is NIFL Premiership side Glentoran. The Belfast based club are now in their second year wearing Castore and are now back in their traditional green after a season wearing white home colours in 2023/24. This season’s kit for the Glens consists of an all green base and features a repeating pattern across the front with two bands of green and red above and below the front of shirt sponsor, which is bright white. The kit is finished off with either black or white shorts and green socks. It may not be the bravest of kit designs but everything comes together nicely and that’s why it squeezes into the Top 10.

9. Mansfield Town FC Away Kit
In ninth place is League One side Mansfield Town’s away kit. The Stags are now in their second year with Castore after winning promotion from League Two in 2023/24. Their away kit for this season offers a sharp contrast from their orange home kit and features a white and green colourway which is inspired by a kit the club wore in 1992/93. The shirt’s base is all white which is covered in a green chevron pattern reminiscent of metal checker plate flooring. The badge follows the same colour scheme and come in green and white rather than the traditional orange and blue. The sponsor logo and Castore are both in black and the collar is plain white.

8. FC Zurich Home Kit
Swiss Super League club FC Zurich’s home kit for 2024/25 comes in in eighth. Following the same design as the stripes on the badge with one thick navy stripe down the middle and two thick stripes either side. On first glance it’s a fairly simple design albeit one that hasn’t been seen on the club’s strips before, but on closer inspection the letter ‘Z’ representing Zurich appears in an abstract all over pattern that covers the kit. A gold Castore logo and no shirt sponsorship adds class to an overall very clean and well designed kit.
7. Everton FC Away Kit
Everton’s Goodison Park inspired away kit places seventh in our Top 10. Drawing inspiration from local landmarks and nearby streets. The kit itself comes in a black charcoal colour with contrasting yellow on the crew neck collar, Castore badge and shirt sponsor. This touch adds colour and vibrancy to the shirt and is meant to replicate the floodlights of Goodison Park. The pattern that covers the shirt is said to pay tribute to the city’s Baltic Triangle and is made up of randomly placed ‘E’, ‘F’ and ‘C’ characters. A subtle detail on the shirt appears in place in place of Everton’s traditional club badge in the form of a Prince Rupert’s Tower icon. It’s a design brimming with local pride and one that the majority of Evertonians will be able to resonate with.

6. Bayer 04 Leverkusen Home Kit
It’s going to be almost impossible for this season’s Bayer Leverkusen home kit to be as fondly remembered as the 23/24 edition. After an unprecedented double last season for the club. Xabi Alonso’s ‘Neverkusen’ finally broke the curse and lifted domestic silverware and without an inspired Ademola Lookman could also have added a Europa League to their heroics. This season’s home kit features a red base with black raglan sleeves. The tonal graphic across the front of the shirt features crosses inspired by the city of Leverkusen’s coat of arms, diamonds referring to the city’s water tower and a map of the city. It may not have the nostalgic reverence last season’s kit has but at least it has a gold Bundesliga badge on the sleeve.

5. Burnley Third Kit
Burnley FC are back in the Championship following relegation from the Premier League in 2023/24 and will be hoping for an immediate return this season. They’ll be doing it in style following the release this summer of their third kit. It’s in good company as their home kit and away efforts are also oozing with class but the third kit is definitely the winner. Primarily a white base, it’s in the accents that this kit comes to life, along the collar, cuffs and side panels is an abstract design featuring claret and blue zig zags, checks and stripes. The badge and Castore logo come in claret. The only downside we could maybe highlight is the off colour sponsor but that’s being picky. It’s unmistakably Burnley and a perfect example of a club retaining it’s identity and tradition away from their home kit.

4. Sevilla Third Kit
Now in their third year wearing Castore, La Liga club Sevilla come in just outside the Top 3 with their 2024/25 Third Kit. As is usual with the Andalusians their third kit is the boldest out of the three and for us the best as well. Taking inspiration from the Feria de Abril - Sevilla's main festival the kit consists of a black base with red polka dots, reminiscent of the festive clothing worn during Feria de Abril, often characterized by vibrant, traditional flamenco dresses with similar patterns. Additionally, the kit design incorporates elements like hand fans and frills, both of which are iconic symbols of the festival. The club crest and Castore badge contrast nicely in gold adding a touch of class to the design.

3. Rangers Third Kit
In the 2020/21 season, when the brand initially entered the professional football kit industry by partnering with Rangers FC, they were relatively unknown. However, in the five years since, they have firmly established themselves as the official kit supplier for the iconic Scottish club. Fast forward to the current season, and their third kit for Rangers is the standout design. The kit features a striking black base with abstract blue and red representations of the Lion, a central symbol from the club’s badge. The look is completed with subtle yet stylish black and white trim around the collar and sleeve cuffs.

2. UD Almeria Away Kit
Runner up goes to La Liga 2 team UD Almeria and their glorious 2024/25 away kit. A rather minimalistic design with its subtle pattern and sponsor-less front, this design stands out for its simplicity. Taking inspiration from the Cathedral of Almeria, the kit consists of a dark green base that is sprinkled with small images reminiscent of the palm trees that surround the Cathedral square. The club badge and Castore logo are white giving a clean contrast against the dark kit, elevating the overall design. The club may be currently in the lower reaches of the Spanish second division but they’re soaring high on our Top 10.
Feyenoord Third Kit
Coming in at number one on our list of Top 10 Castore Kits of 2024/25 is Feyenoord’s away kit. Only announced in mid September, this striking design is a collaboration between Feyenoord, Castore, and Rotterdam-based lifestyle brand BANLIEUE. The kit pays homage to tradition, nostalgia, and passion, drawing inspiration from the club’s iconic 2003/04 away kit, which was voted the best by fans in 2020. The kit mirrors the same distinctive quarter style as the club’s traditional home kit. This season’s away comes in green and white which are of course famous as the colours of the flag of Rotterdam. Accented with black around the V neck collar and under the armpits. The Castore badge in white however this time the word underneath reads BANLIEUE marking the collaboration with the lifestyle brand. The kit effortlessly blends modern design with elements of Feyenoord’s rich history, exuding a sense of class. With its connection to the club's heritage and stylish look, it's set to be a fan favourite.
The new third jersey will be available from Wednesday 25 September at the club website, the Castore shop in Rotterdam, the BANLIEUE shops and at various sports retailers.
